What is the JID Coefficient?

The Judged Item Difficulty (JID) Coefficient represents the average difficulty estimated by item authors and reviewers. It is expressed as a proportion of minimally qualified candidates (MQCs) expected to answer the item correctly, shown as a decimal between 0 and 1.0.
