💡 Your reservation shows a "Take it by" date and reservation code, similar to a scheduled exam, but delivery is AI-assisted rather than live proctored: you verify identity, then AI monitors your session while a proctor stands by.
Step 1: Your Reservation
1.1 From Reservations, find your exam. The card shows your Status (e.g., Ready), Take it by date, and Reservation Code.
1.2 Click "Launch System Compatibility Check" before exam day to confirm your device meets requirements.
1.3 Click Verify ID to begin identity verification.
Step 2: Verifying Your Identity
2.1 Read the identity verification notice: Certiverse will photograph your ID and take a selfie for comparison, using face recognition biometric technology, with verification data stored for 24 hours. Click Agree and Continue, or Decline to exit.
❓ Why is my verification data only stored for 24 hours?
Certiverse retains verification data only long enough to complete the identity match, then it's discarded. This limits how long sensitive identity information exists in the system, which is a standard data-minimization practice for biometric verification.
2.2 Choose how to complete verification: scan the QR code to continue on your mobile device's camera, or click "Continue on this device."
2.3 Grant camera access when prompted.
2.4 Capture the front of your ID: place it on a flat surface in a well-lit area and tap the shutter. Review the capture, then Retake Photo or Submit Photo.
2.5 Capture the back of your ID the same way.
2.6 Capture a selfie: Certiverse compares your face to your ID photo. Review and Retake Photo or Submit Photo.
2.7 Your submission processes while you see a loading screen.
Step 3: Starting Your Exam
3.1 Once verified, your reservation card updates: Status remains Ready, and your ID badge now reads ID Verified. Click Start.
3.2 Read the Remote Proctoring Terms & Conditions and click the link to review the full terms. Click Continue to proceed, or Exit to back out.
3.3 You're taken to the exam launch page. This exam requires the Safe Exam Browser (SEB): your browser will prompt "Open Safe Exam Browser?" — click Open Safe Exam Browser to proceed. If you don't have SEB installed, click Download Installer first.
3.4 The page also shows camera permission instructions if you need them (Settings → Privacy & security → App permissions → Camera).
💡 For full SEB setup guidance, see the Safe Exam Browser (SEB) Guide and Taking a Scheduled Live Exam with SEB (the SEB experience is the same regardless of proctoring type).
Step 4: During Your Exam
4.1 AI monitors your session throughout via webcam. Remain visible for the duration of the exam.
4.2 If AI monitoring detects an issue, your exam session will pause while a proctor reviews it. You'll resume once the proctor completes their review.
❓ What happens if my exam pauses?
A pause means AI monitoring flagged something for proctor review, such as your face leaving view or another person entering the room. The proctor reviews a short clip of the moment and either logs it and lets you continue, or takes further action. A pause is a review checkpoint, not a penalty by itself.
