Notes: August 10th, Release 39

This release introduces AI Bulk Content Generation across authoring, from blueprint-level enablement through background generation and item bank integration, alongside a new Exam Manager role, refreshed candidate booking branding, Power BI report polish, and a range of usability improvements across Exam Management, Item Authoring, and reporting.

Please note: In the interest of informing our customers as early as possible of any platform changes, we are sharing these release notes in advance of the software release. The final updates may vary and will be documented accordingly.

AI Content Generation

Enable AI Bulk Content Generation
An "Enable AI Bulk Content Generation" toggle has been added under Admin > Blueprints > AI Configuration, giving Organization Admins and SuperAdmins control over which blueprints can use AI-generated items. New blueprints have this setting turned on by default, while existing blueprints start with it turned off until an admin enables it.

AI Bulk Generation Entry Point and Pre-Flight Checks
An AI Bulk Generation button now appears in Item Authoring for every blueprint. Before generation can start, the platform runs a series of pre-flight checks, such as confirming the feature is enabled for the blueprint and that all topics have descriptions, and shows a clear message if any check fails so the issue can be resolved before continuing.

Review and Add Reference Content Before AI Generation
Once pre-flight checks pass, users can open a new sidesheet to review the reference content already loaded for their blueprint before starting AI generation. The sidesheet shows whether enough content is available to meet the blueprint's item target and lets users add supplementary material if needed, with a Generate Items button to continue.

AI Generation Now Runs in the Background
Once a bulk generation request is confirmed, the sidesheet switches to an in-progress state and the job runs in the background, so users are free to continue working elsewhere while it completes. Users are notified automatically once the process finishes.

Completion Notification with Item Count
Users now receive an in-app notification when their AI bulk content generation job finishes. The notification names the blueprint and the number of items created, includes a Bulk Creation status label, and provides a View Items button that opens Item Management with the relevant blueprint already selected.

AI-Generated Items Follow the Standard Review Workflow
Items created through AI bulk generation are now added to a blueprint's item bank the same way a human-authored item would be, attributed to Certiverse AI. Depending on the blueprint's Accepted Reviews Required setting, generated items are added either directly as Accepted or as For Review, matching the existing review process.

Bulk Delete JTA Tasks and Domains
JTA tasks and domains can now be bulk deleted in a single action, making it faster to clear an existing Job Task Analysis before re-running Generate Tasks with AI. Bulk delete access is available to Admin roles, while the individual task delete option remains unchanged for other contributors. No existing task deletion behavior was removed.

Authoring

Widen MQC Modal
The MQC modal now dynamically adjusts its width based on content, with minimum and maximum width limits to preserve readability. This applies consistently across all entry points, including Job Task Analysis, Blueprint, and Item Writing. The update reduces excessive vertical scrolling without affecting existing functionality.

Improve Item Type Selection
The item type selection interface has been updated to use a grouped dropdown structure, with item types organized under Single Correct Response and Multiple Correct Response headings. This applies across item writing and editing screens, including the modals shown when writing an item and when an admin assigns an item to a user. All existing item types remain available.

Update Button Styles for Workflow Guidance
Button styles across the authoring workflow have been updated to signal each action's priority more clearly. The Build Blueprint button on the Job Task Analysis page and the Start Item Writing button on the Blueprints page now use a filled style, while the AI Bulk Generation button in Item Writing uses an elevated style. The Build Blueprint button remains visible across all tabs on the Job Task Analysis page.

BI & Reporting

Add Skeleton Loader for Power BI Reports
A skeleton/ghost loader now displays while Power BI reports are loading, giving a clear visual indication that content is on its way. The loader resembles the general layout of the report area and is replaced automatically once the report has fully loaded. No changes were made to report content or configuration.

Update Power BI Report Border Styles
Border styling across Power BI reports has been updated for a cleaner, more modern look. Heavy or hard borders have been replaced with a refined style, applied consistently across all reports. No changes were made to report content or data.

Exam Management

Improve Grid Filtering and Display Behavior
The Exam Management Grid now loads with clearer default filtering and visual indicators for exam status. The grid defaults to showing only Active and Inactive exams, with a new "All" option added to the Active filter, and archived rows now display a check mark when the Archive column is shown. Filters reset automatically when the organization is changed or the page is refreshed.

Replace Exam Codes Column with Exam Names
The "Exam Codes" column on the Exam Screens dashboard has been replaced with a new "Exam Names" column. Associated exams are now displayed as individual chips, with overflow handling for rows with multiple exams, matching the existing chip pattern used for Domains. Column sorting and filtering now work based on exam name rather than exam code.

Exam Manager Role
A new Exam Manager role has been added, giving assigned users access to all sub-sections of Exam Management, including Items, Exams, Translations, Exam Screens, Rescoring, and Experts, without access to other areas of the platform. The role inherits Organization Admin permissions within those sub-sections only and can be assigned by Organization Admins, Super Admins, and Certiverse Admins.

Rename Manually Added Accommodation Type
Accommodation types in the Accommodation Requests tab now distinguish between automated and manually added accommodations. Time added manually on a reservation is now labeled "Manual - Fixed Time," while auto-approved accommodations retain their existing label, making it clearer how each accommodation was applied.

Change Benchmark Statistic Label
The benchmark statistic label on the Item Management Benchmark Statistics tab has been updated from "Difficulty Proportion Correct" to "Proportion Correct." This is a label change only, with no change to how the statistic is calculated or displayed.

Correct JTA Status Filter Display Value
The Authoring JTA status filter now matches on the displayed status value rather than the internal status. Previously, filtering by a visible status such as "Authoring" could unexpectedly filter out all rows. Results now reflect the status values shown in the grid.

Homepage

Reduce Columns in My Exams History
The My Exams History grid (Home > My Exams > History) now displays fewer columns by default to improve readability and reduce horizontal scrolling. Less frequently used details, including Language, Confirmation Code, and Payment Method, are now hidden behind an expandable caret and appear only when opened. No history data was removed.

Item Management

Remove Gamification Elements
Gamification elements have been removed from the platform, including achievement stars, badges, leaderboard links, reward notifications, and task achievement notifications. The interface no longer surfaces these features, aligning it with the current product direction.

Store

Apply New Branding to Candidate Booking Flow
The candidate booking flow has been updated to reflect the new Certiverse branding across all pages. The booking flow has also been migrated to the latest Angular framework as part of this update. All existing booking functionality remains unchanged.

Voucher

Add Unassigned Vouchers Column
An "Unassigned" column has been added to the Voucher Purchase grid, positioned between Remaining and Amount Paid. This column shows the count of vouchers that are both unused and not yet assigned to an email, and can be sorted and filtered independently. The existing Remaining column is unaffected.
