To take your unproctored exam, you must verify your identity. Follow the steps below to complete the ID verification process and check your status.
What You Need:
- A device with internet access (computer, smartphone, or tablet).
- A government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver's license, passport, or national ID card).
- A selfie or a photo of yourself.
Step 1: Access Your Exam Dashboard
- Log in to Certiverse
- Access your Certiverse Home portal.
- Click on the "My Exams" tab.
- Locate your purchased unproctored exam.
Step 2: Start the ID Verification Process
- Click the "VERIFY ID" button next to your exam.
- You’ll be redirected to the secure ID verification page powered by Stripe.
Step 3: Complete Identity Verification
1. Upload a Government-Issued ID
- Select your ID type (passport, driver’s license, or national ID).
- Ensure the entire ID is visible, well-lit, and all text is readable.
- Follow on-screen prompts for proper scanning.
2. Take a Selfie (required)
- Capture three automatic photos of your face.
- Use a well-lit environment to ensure clarity.
3. Submit Your Information
- Click "Submit" after uploading your ID and selfies.
- Your verification will be automatically processed or sent for manual review if needed.
Step 4: ID Verification Workflow with GBG
- Candidates select their country and document type before uploading ID photos.
- Full matches proceed to the exam; partial matches (e.g., initials and last name) may also continue.
- If verification fails, candidates can retry up to five times before requiring manual review.
- Webhook integration updates candidate status in real-time.
- Failed verifications trigger system alerts for debugging and notify support for manual intervention.
Step 5: Check Your Verification Status
- Successful: A green "ID Verified" icon appears.
- Failed: Status shows "Failed Pending Review" for manual verification.
- In Progress: Displays "Verification In Progress" until completed.
- Consent Declined: Verification cannot proceed without consent.
Step 6: Access Your Exam
Once verified, either automatically or manually, the "START EXAM" button will be enabled. Check your My Exams dashboard for the "ID VERIFIED" status before proceeding

- Ensure Good Image Quality: Resubmit if images are blurry or unclear.
- Check ID Legibility: Ensure text is undamaged and readable.
