Notes: November 13th Release
This release improves clarity, performance, and user experience across the platform. Updates include clearer SSO settings, faster authoring load times, refined scheduling rules, improved test center form validation, and clearer live-proctoring check-in instructions.
Admin
Improved Clarity in SSO Configuration Settings
The SSO Configuration Options in the Admin portal have been updated to improve clarity and guidance for admins. Several labels were revised, including Deep Link to Organization SSO Initiation Link, Require SSO Log-In to Book an Exam to Require SSO Log-In for Candidates, and Assign SSO Configuration to Assign SSO Connection, with additional descriptions added to explain each setting’s purpose and behavior. Updates clarify how candidates access SSO, how multiple connections and redirect URLs work, and how instructions or blocks are displayed for users not logged in via the organization SSO, ensuring a more intuitive and consistent SSO setup experience.
Authoring
Enhanced Performance for Pending Reviews Overview
The loading performance of the “Cards” section at the top of the authoring page has been improved. Previously, users with a large number of organizations or blueprints experienced slow load times. The update optimizes how the data is retrieved and displayed, ensuring faster and more efficient loading across all roles and blueprint scenarios.
Support
Updated Bypass Scheduling Rules for TrueAbility Exams
The bypass scheduling functionality has been updated to align with the provisioning windows for different delivery providers. TrueAbility exams can now be booked 13 hours or more in advance when a bypass exception is configured for the user and exam, reflecting the provider’s 12-hour build window. Skillable exams now support bypass scheduling at any future time, similar to MC exams, since provisioning occurs on launch. Standard lead times for other exam types and configurations remain unchanged.
Test Centers & Events
Required Field Label Added to Test Center Description
The Test Center creation form has been updated to improve clarity and consistency. The description field now includes a visible label “Test Center Description*” indicating that it is a required field. The label styling matches other required field indicators in the portal, and form validation ensures the description must be completed before submission. No other layout or functionality changes were made.
Delivery
Updated Live Proctoring Check-In Instructions for Candidates
The check-in instructions displayed after the pre-flight step have been updated to clarify the identity verification process. The previous wording led candidates to show digital IDs on their phones instead of physical documents. The revised instructions now specify that candidates must present a government-issued photo ID to their camera (e.g., driver’s license, passport) and perform a room scan to show their testing environment before starting the exam.
