Notes: February 2nd Release

This release introduces UI enhancements, faster Marketplace access, persistent grid preferences, expanded rescoring for random item selection, improved Test Center onboarding and reporting, clearer exam form messaging, and new AI-powered item import tools to streamline authoring and administration.

Please note: In the interest of informing our customers as early as possible of any platform changes, we are sharing these release notes in advance of the software release. The final updates may vary and will be documented accordingly.

UI Updates

Quick Access to the Certiverse Marketplace

A new Marketplace button has been added to the top navigation bar in Certiverse, allowing users to quickly open the live Marketplace in a new tab from any area of the platform. Positioned to the left of the Give Feedback button, this shortcut makes it easier to move from exam setup or updates directly to the Marketplace, while preserving the existing behavior of the Certiverse logo.

Simplified Grid Interface Across the Platform

The Filters and Columns tabs have been removed from the ag-grid sidebar across all portal areas to reduce redundancy and streamline the user interface. Filtering and column visibility controls remain fully available directly within the grid via column icons, ensuring no loss of functionality. This change provides a more consistent and intuitive experience across the platform.

Persistent Column Preferences in Manual Item Selection

Manual Item Selection now remembers each user’s column visibility and order, preserving their preferred layout across sessions. Any columns a user enables—including those hidden by default—will remain available the next time they return. A Reset option is also provided, allowing users to quickly restore Certiverse’s default column view when needed.

Rescoring

Rescoring Support for Exams with Random Item Selection

Rescoring now supports exam forms that use random item selection, allowing deliveries originally taken with or without random selection to be rescored to a target form that includes randomized items. This enhancement enables common scenarios such as rescoring beta exams to live forms with random selection, or correcting scoring or configuration issues on previously delivered exams. For sections without random selection, existing item configuration behavior remains unchanged.

Test Center & Events

Default Test Center Code of Conduct for New Organizations

All newly created organizations now include a pre-configured Test Center Code of Conduct that is automatically enabled during onboarding, providing clear guidance from the start and reducing setup friction. Client org admins can view, edit, or disable the agreement at any time from Admin → Organizations → Test Center Code of Conduct. For test center groups, proctors are prompted to accept the agreement once when all organizations share the same content, or multiple times only when unique agreements exist. This update applies to both self-service and standard onboarding, while existing organizations remain unchanged unless the feature is explicitly enabled.

Item Management

Improved Placement of the Import Items Action

The Import Items action has been relocated to a more consistent and intuitive location within Item Management, aligning with standard action patterns used across the platform. This update improves discoverability and usability while preserving all existing import functionality, permissions, and workflows.

AI-Powered Item Import Wizard

A new AI Item Import wizard simplifies item ingestion by automatically analyzing uploaded files and mapping content to standard item components. Supporting multiple file formats, the wizard provides visual feedback during analysis, summarizes what can be imported, highlights any issues, and allows users to confirm before completing the import. This guided, end-to-end experience reduces manual setup while maintaining transparency and control throughout the import process.

Controlled Item Import with Pending Status

After completing the AI analysis and confirming the import, items are now brought directly into Certiverse without requiring a separate file upload step. All imported items enter a Pending state by default, allowing admins to review and complete any required details—such as assigning a topic when one is not automatically identified—before the items move forward in the authoring workflow.

Exam Management

Clearer Handling of Items Under Admin Review in Exam Forms

When creating or editing exam forms, items that are in Admin Review status are now handled more clearly to reduce confusion during item selection. These items are no longer presented as available for use without clear context, and messaging has been improved to explicitly indicate when an item is under Admin Review rather than generically referencing delivery status. This update helps authors and admins quickly understand why an item cannot be added to a form and streamlines the form creation experience.
