Notes: April 30th Release
This release improves efficiency and usability with streamlined workflows, clearer warnings, and enhanced automation, reducing manual effort and improving the overall admin and reviewer experience.
Please note: In the interest of informing our customers as early as possible of any platform changes, we are sharing these release notes in advance of the software release. The final updates may vary and will be documented accordingly.
Authoring
Job Task Analysis Tab Reorganization
The tab layout within Job Task Analyses Authoring has been reorganized for improved navigation. The "Tasks" tab has been renamed to "Tasks & Domains," and "Blueprint Preview" has been repositioned as the second tab immediately following it, resulting in a clearer tab order: Tasks & Domains → Blueprint Preview → Survey → Analysis.
The Survey and Analysis tabs are now grouped under a new "Advanced" section, keeping the primary workflow front and center while still providing easy access to psychometric tools when needed.
Step numbering now appears only beside Tasks & Domains and Blueprint Preview, and the Publish Blueprint button remains on the Blueprint Preview tab. All existing links, routing, and permissions continue to function as before
Exam Management
Enemy Item Conflict Detection in Form Validation
Exam Management now automatically detects enemy item conflicts during form validation — triggered when a form is Approved, made Active, or when PreTest items are added or uploaded to an Approved form. When conflicts are found, a warning modal is displayed, organized into Fixed Form Conflicts and Random Selection Conflicts sections (each shown only if applicable), with a status chip indicating the count of conflicts and a deduplicated bullet list of the offending item pairs.
For random selection forms, the system runs up to 100 iterations to determine whether a valid enemy-free form can be generated from the defined rules. Users must explicitly confirm to proceed with the status change or cancel to return to the form without any modifications, ensuring administrators are fully informed before publishing a form that contains enemy item constraints.
Translation Preview Enhancement in Exam Management
The Translations tab in Exam Management has been updated to display the translation preview by default, eliminating the need to manually toggle it on. The "Show Translation" toggle has been removed, and a new Edit button has been added to the top-right corner of the preview panel, allowing users to quickly switch into edit mode directly from the preview.
Additionally, a View button lets users return to preview mode seamlessly, and clicking AI Translate now automatically opens edit mode for a smoother workflow. This update also includes fixes for translation updates on image-only exhibits and resolves a scrollbar overflow issue that could occur after saving changes.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
Accommodation Type Added to Exam Store Booking Report
The Exam Store Booking Report now includes an Accommodation Type field in the booking details pane, giving administrators clear visibility into which accommodation type was used for each booking. The field is displayed as a non-editable label positioned above the existing Additional Time field, ensuring it is immediately visible when reviewing booking details. This enhancement helps administrators differentiate bookings by accommodation type without requiring any changes to existing booking workflows or permissions.
Delivery
Exam Retake Email Notifications for Candidates
Candidates are now proactively notified by email when they become eligible to retake an exam. A new toggle in the Exam Store, which is visible only when Retakes Allowed is enabled and turned on by default for new exams, lets administrators control whether retake notifications are sent. When enabled, the system sends two emails: one seven days before the retake eligibility date and one on the day itself (if the retake window is fewer than seven days, only the on-day email is sent).
Notifications are automatically suppressed if the candidate has already rebooked, and any changes to retake configuration rules recalculate the eligibility date accordingly. Administrators can also append a custom block of rich text ("Organization Instructions") to both retake emails via the existing Custom Emails tab on the Store exam, following the same append model used for Confirmation, Reminder, and Reschedule emails.
AI-Powered Test Driver Language Translation
The test driver UI now supports dynamic language translation, allowing candidates to switch the interface language during their exam session via a language dropdown in the top toolbar. When a candidate has booked an exam in a language different from the source language (e.g., source: English, booked: Spanish), the dropdown displays both options and seamlessly updates the entire test driver UI and item content to the selected language without requiring a page reload.
If only one language is available, the dropdown is hidden and the driver defaults to that language; if a translation is unavailable for any UI element, the system falls back to English. This feature supports all languages currently available for content and exam creation, improving global accessibility for non-English-speaking candidates
