  2. Close and reopen Google Chrome.

Step 6: Test Screen Sharing

  1. Open Google Chrome and navigate to the application or website where you need to share your screen (e.g., Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
  2. Start a meeting and attempt to share your screen to ensure that the permission settings are correctly configured.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Chrome Not Listed in Screen Recording: If Google Chrome is not listed in the Screen Recording section, make sure you have attempted to share your screen at least once in Chrome. This action prompts MacOS to recognize Chrome as an application that requires screen recording permission.
  • Permission Denied Error: If you still encounter issues, try restarting your Mac to ensure all system settings are properly updated.
  • Update Chrome: Ensure you are using the latest version of Google Chrome. Go to Chrome Menu > Help > About Google Chrome and update if necessary.
