Features of Retake Limits:

  • Maximum Number of Attempts: Specify up to 99 attempts or leave the field blank for unlimited attempts.
  • Maximum Number of Attempts Time Period (days): Set the timeframe (up to 9,999 days) during which the allowed attempts apply, or leave blank for a lifetime limit.
  • Rolling Time Period Enforcement: Retake limits are applied based on the first attempt within the configured timeframe.

Understand System Behavior

  • Rolling Time Period Enforcement:

    • Example: If configured for 3 attempts within 30 days, the system will track attempts starting from the first attempt within that timeframe.
    • If three attempts occur within 30 days, no additional attempts can be scheduled until 30 days after the first of the three attempts.
  • Interaction with Other Restrictions:
    • If additional restrictions are configured, the system enforces the most restrictive (latest) date.
