When errors like mis-keys or omitted items occur, ensuring fairness in exam results is critical. The “Score Items Correct” option automates this process by marking selected items correct for all affected test takers—regardless of their original responses or whether they encountered the item. This approach not only streamlines rescoring but also guarantees consistency across candidate results.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Go to Results Management

Log in to the exam management portal and navigate to the Results Management section. This is where you can access the rescoring tools and manage test results.

Step 2: Select the Result You Need to Rescore

Find the specific result or batch of results that require rescoring. Ensure you’ve selected the correct data to avoid unintended updates.

Step 3: Select the Form You Want to Rescore Against

Choose the test form associated with the results.

Step 4: Type the Item(s) to Add

Enter the item or list of items that need to be marked as correct. You can input these individually by pressing Enter. Be sure to use accurate item names to match those in the test form.

Step 5: Refresh the URL

Once the items are added, refresh the URL in your browser. This action will update the rescoring status to staged, indicating that the changes are ready for final review.

Step 6: Publish the Score

To finalize the rescoring process, publish the updated score. Once published, the adjusted results will be available, and the rescoring is complete.
