What is “Delivery Status”?
Delivery Status indicates the lifecycle stage of an item after authoring is complete. It impacts the item’s eligibility for inclusion in an exam form and determines whether it appears in item selection workflows.
Blueprint Configuration Options
Blueprints can be configured to insert an Admin Review step before acceptance.
If enabled:
-
Status “Awaiting Admin Review” will appear after SME review.
-
Admin must manually change status to Accepted or Rejected.
Delivery Status: Purpose and Options
Delivery Status is a post-authoring field that controls whether an item can be added to an exam form. It is separate from the authoring status and follows business rules based on the item’s stage and usage.
Values and Rules:
Delivery Status | Description | Who Can Set It | When Applicable |
---|---|---|---|
None | System-assigned before item is Accepted | Not editable | Any item not yet Accepted or reverted |
Admin Review | Optional intermediate step requiring admin review | Admin | If configured via Blueprint |
Active | Indicates item is ready for use on forms | Admin | After item is Accepted |
Retired | Item is no longer used for new forms but allowed on existing ones | Admin | After Acceptance |
Archived | Item is no longer usable on forms | Admin (with limits) | After Acceptance or Rejection |
Important Constraints:
-
Items on active forms can only be Active or Retired.
-
Archived or Admin Review cannot be set if the item is part of an active form.
-
Rejected or Author Cancelled items can only be set to Archived.
