Administrator's Guide: Beta Rescore

IMPORTANT: Prior to conducting a Beta rescore ensure you have taken the following steps listed under Rescore: First Steps. Second, ensure that the Beta has closed and is not longer active.

Rescore: First Steps

  1. Create Live Version of the Exam: Once you have completed collecting data for your Beta exam, begin by creating a new Exam in the Exam Management Portal.
  2. Configure Live Exam:
    1. Add Exam Name and Exam Title, Exam Code, Exam Description,
    2. Create Live form and add items that will be administered on the final Live version of the Exam.
    3. Under the Delivery tab ensure an official cut score is configured.

Rescore Exams

1.   Select the Exam and Form:

    • Go to Results Management Portal
    • Select the Exam and correct form(s).
      • Note: When rescoring across multiple forms, the system will automatically select the form that yields the highest possible score for the candidate.
  1. Select Candidate:

    • Once you've identified the candidate(s), click the checkbox next to their name.
      • To rescore multiple candidates at once, simply select them all before submitting.
  2. Click Rescore:

    • After selecting your candidate(s), click the Rescore button.
    • A pop-up will appear saying: "Please select Exam Forms to Rescore Against."
      • Check the correct form(s).
      • Click Submit.
    • Another pop-up will appear: "Confirm: This will rescore results against all the selected exam forms."
      • Click OK.
    • A warning will display: "Rescoring for these results submitted."
  3. Publish the Rescored Results
    • After completing the Rescore from Step 3, you'll want to take a second to review the proposed Results. This can be done by doing a hard refresh and seeing a new Rescore Status populate for the chosen candidates. The new Rescore Status will be: Staged.
    • If all the Rescored Results seem appropriate and accurate select all the Rescored Candidates with a Staged Rescore status, and click PUBLISH.
      • Note: If a custom results integration is configured, scores will be sent to that integration. Additionally, scores will be visible to candidates if the Live version of the exam has the 'Send Results' setting enabled.
  4. View the Results:

    • You can view the new results under the Live version of the exam in the Candidate Results Report.
