LearnUpon Integration

Certiverse LearnUpon Integration

Oct 9, 2026 · @Rocio

Exams available in the Certiverse Exam Store can be set up to verify the eligibility of candidates in LearnUpon when they book an exam, and to post their results back to LearnUpon when the attempt is complete.

Certiverse Configuration

Establishing the LearnUpon Eligibility Connector

  1. Log in to Certiverse
  2. Navigate to the Admin Portal
  3. Select the Connectors tab
  4. In the left menu, choose Eligibility
  5. Click Connect on the LearnUpon card
  6. Click ADD CONNECTOR
  7. Enter a name for the connector.
  8. Enter the Domain / Partner Endpoint, API Username and API Password. All three are required; the password is obfuscated once saved.
  9. Click Validate
  10. Save the connector.

Store Configuration

  1. Navigate to the Store tab
  2. Click EDIT for the desired exam
  3. Locate the Eligibility Configuration tab within the Exam
  4. Under Eligibility Type, select LearnUpon.
  5. Select the Organization Connector you created.
  6. Select the LearnUpon course the exam maps to.
  7. Click SAVE.

LearnUpon API Integration Behavior

Eligibility verification between Certiverse and LearnUpon occurs when a candidate selects an exam from either the Organization landing page or a direct exam deep link.

  • The email address on the Certiverse account must match the email the candidate used to enroll in the LearnUpon course.
  • Candidates enrolled in the configured course can book the exam; candidates who are not enrolled cannot.
  • When the attempt is complete, Certiverse posts the percent score and a Passed or Failed status to the candidate's LearnUpon enrollment, closing it. The percent score is sent for both passed and failed attempts.

Once an attempt has been used, the learner stays ineligible and cannot book again through this course. To allow a retake, the LearnUpon admin re-enrolls the learner, which makes them eligible again.

Troubleshooting Candidate Eligibility Configuration and Candidate Eligibility

Issue Description Resolution
LearnUpon authentication is not valid The domain, API username or API password on the connector is wrong or has been revoked Verify the LearnUpon credentials on the connector used by the exam are still valid
Candidate not eligible The Certiverse account email does not match the LearnUpon account email Ensure the candidate uses the same email address in Certiverse and LearnUpon
Enrollment not found No enrollment exists in LearnUpon for the candidate in the course configured in Certiverse Confirm the candidate is enrolled in that course and the store points to the right course
Ineligible after an attempt The attempt closed the enrollment Re-enroll the candidate in LearnUpon to allow a retake
Score missing from LearnUpon The attempt is not yet final, or the connector credentials changed Confirm the attempt is final; check the connector credentials

LearnUpon Configuration

Organizations must ensure proper configuration within LearnUpon.

  • API credentials — A LearnUpon admin generates the API username and password used on the Certiverse connector. See the LearnUpon API documentation.
  • Course — Candidates must be enrolled in the LearnUpon course selected in the Certiverse store before they book.
  • Link to the exam — Adding a link to the exam's Certiverse Exam Store deep link in the course content gives candidates a direct path from training to booking.
