How to Change Item Types
In this video the item writer changes the Item Type of a draft item.
Tap the video to pause the demo or manually advance each step.
Step 1: Access the Portal
- Click Portals.
- Click Authoring.
Step 2: Navigate to My Items
- Click My Items.
Step 3: Continue Editing
- Click CONTINUE.
Step 4: Move Through the Item Steps
- Click NEXT.
- Click NEXT.
- Click NEXT to reach the rationales step.
Step 5: Change the Item Type
- In the rationales step, you can change the item type.
- Click Change Item Type.
- Click Select New Item Type.
Step 6: Select the New Item Type
- Select the new item type from the available options.
- Select the option you want to remove from the item.
Step 7: Add New Information
- Click new Incorrect Answer to modify the distractors.
- Type the New Rationale.
Step 8: Finalize the Item
- Click NEXT.
- Click CHANGE ITEM TYPE to apply the changes.
Step 9: Submit for Review
- Click NEXT to finalize.
- Adjust the slider below to match your selected percentage.
- Click SUBMIT FOR REVIEW.
- Click OK to confirm submission.
