All IDs must be valid, government-issued originals (photocopies are not accepted) and must include:
- The test-taker's name
- A recent, recognizable photo.
- The first and last names on the ID must match exactly the name used to register for the exam.
Test-Takers Under 18
A parent or guardian must present their own valid ID during check-in and provide consent for the test-taker to be recorded. The test-taker should also present a government-issued ID if they have one. If they do not have a government-issued ID, a student ID is acceptable.
Acceptable Forms of ID
- International travel passport
- Driver's license
- National, state, or provincial identification card
- Alien registration card (green card or permanent resident/visa)
Unacceptable Forms of ID
- Expired IDs — IDs must be current and valid at the time of the exam.
- Military IDs
- Digital IDs — All IDs must be physical, government-issued documents with a clear photo and unaltered information. Digital IDs are not accepted.
- Restricted access IDs — including the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC) and similar secure access credentials.
- IDs from restricted countries or regions — IDs issued by North Korea, Cuba, Syria, Sudan, Iran, or the Sevastopol/Crimea region of Ukraine are not accepted.
