Target release date: October 20th, 2026

Please note: In the interest of informing our customers as early as possible of any platform changes, we are sharing these release notes in advance of the software release. The final updates, including the target release date, may vary and will be documented accordingly.

AI Content Generation

Model addition for AI Bulk Generation review and repair
The review and repair steps of AI Bulk Generation now a different AI model from the one that generates the items. Using a separate model to check and fix items helps catch quality issues the generating model may miss. Item generation and the review and repair instructions remain unchanged.

Authoring

Item writing welcome overlay removed
The welcome overlay on the item authoring assignment screen has been removed, so authors can start writing items straight away. The overlay also no longer appears after a topic update or blueprint settings save. Item writing guidance remains available through the Org Guide button at the top of the screen.

BI & Reporting

Financial Reporting User role
A new Financial Reporting User role has been added, giving users access to an organization’s financial reports without access to other data such as exam content. The role covers the Billing Delivery Power BI Report, Voucher Financial Report, and Voucher Detailed Financial Report, and can be assigned by Super Admins, Certiverse Admins, and Organization Admins through Roles and Permissions. New users receive an invite email when assigned the role, and existing users receive a notification that the role has been added to their account.

Faster Exam Response Data report
The Exam Response Data report has been moved to a dedicated reporting data platform. Reports now generate faster and no longer place load on the live platform. The report contents remain unchanged.

Faster Exam Response Detail report
The Exam Response Detail report has been moved to a dedicated reporting data platform. Reports now generate faster and no longer place load on the live platform. The report contents remain unchanged.

Blueprint

Streamlined blueprint creation form
The Create Exam Blueprint form has been streamlined, with the Exam Blueprint Info section renamed to Exam Information and the Exam Blueprint Name field renamed to Exam Name. A new Write an AI-Assisted Job/Role button helps draft the Job/Role description, and a new Security Level section lets authors choose Low (Unproctored), Medium (AI Proctored), or High (Live Proctored), with Medium selected by default. An exam and its store entry are now created automatically alongside the blueprint, configured according to the selected security level.

Streamlined JTA creation form
The JTA creation form has been streamlined: the Exam Blueprint Info section is renamed to Exam Information, the Exam Blueprint Name field is renamed to Exam Name, and Assessment Level no longer has a pre-selected value. A new Security Level section lets authors choose Low (Unproctored), Medium (AI Proctored), or High (Live Proctored), with Medium selected by default. An exam and its store entry are now created automatically alongside the blueprint generated from the JTA, configured according to the selected security level.

“None” removed from Assessment Level in blueprint creation
The “None” option has been removed from the Assessment Level dropdown in all three blueprint creation workflows: Start from scratch, Start with a new JTA, and Start with an existing JTA. The dropdown now defaults to blank, and a valid Assessment Level must be selected before the form can be submitted. Existing blueprints saved with an Assessment Level of None are not affected.

“None” removed from Assessment Level in JTA and Blueprint Settings
The “None” option has been removed from the Assessment Level dropdown on the Job Task Analysis Settings and Blueprint Settings screens. Existing JTAs and blueprints already set to None continue to display None as their current value until changed. No other settings behavior was changed.

Privacy Statement link on JTA survey landing page
A Privacy Statement link has been added to the footer of the JTA generic link survey landing page. The link opens the Certiverse Privacy Statement & Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy and behaves the same as the privacy link on the main homepage. No other survey landing page content was changed.

Candidate Experience

Simplified Privacy Policy modal during ID verification
The Certiverse Privacy Policy modal opened from the ID Verification step now displays only the policy content. The search bar, support chat widget, and footer navigation links have been removed for easier reading. The policy content itself is unchanged.

Connectors & Integrations

Self-service API key management
A new API Keys management area has been added to the Connectors section of the left navigation, allowing organizations to generate, view, copy, regenerate, and delete Partner API keys directly. Each key supports independent permission toggles for Eligibility, Results Pull, Provisioning, Exam Stop, Voucher, and Promo Code APIs, with keys expiring automatically after one year. Existing eligibility access is preserved when results pull permissions are added, and previously issued keys and permissions remain unaffected.

Created and Updated columns in Integrations & Connectors
An Updated column has been added to the Integrations & Connectors table to show when each connector was last modified, and a Created column can be added through the column picker. Both columns support ascending and descending sorting. Connectors configured before this release show a blank Created date, and their Updated date is filled in the next time the configuration is changed.

Updated Connectors documentation link
The Documentation button under Admin > Connectors has been updated to link to the Integrations & APIs section of the Certiverse Help Center. All other button behavior remains unchanged.

Custom fields for Accredible badges
Accredible badge configurations now support custom text fields, which are sent to Accredible when a credential is issued. Badge and certificate designs that use custom variables now display the configured values instead of appearing blank. Only text custom fields are supported.

Delivery

Proctoring playback video synced with event log
The proctoring session playback screen now keeps the event log and video playback in sync. As the video plays, the log automatically scrolls to and highlights the matching entry, dragging the video timeline resyncs the log, and Video Events include a play button that jumps the video to that timestamp. New controls include a Date sort button, Show Video Events and Show All Events toggles, and a Sync with Video button for manual resyncing.

Mobile ID verification for live proctored exams
Candidates taking a live proctored exam can now verify their identity using their mobile device when AI ID Verification is enabled. At the identity verification step, candidates scan a QR code to capture their ID document and a selfie on their phone, or can choose to use their webcam instead, and the images are automatically checked for document authenticity, a name match with the booking, and a facial match. Failed verifications are sent to the Support Check-in queue for review, and when AI ID Verification is disabled, the existing proctor-managed check-in flow is used.

Enemy items excluded from random selection forms
Exams that use random item selection now avoid placing enemy items together on the same candidate form. When a form is built for a candidate, the system first tries to create a combination with no enemy item pairs, and if that is not possible, it uses the combination with the fewest enemy pairs. Fixed forms are not affected, so any enemy items an author has deliberately included remain in the form.

Test driver framework update
The test driver used to deliver exams has been updated to the latest version of its underlying framework, bringing it in line with the rest of the platform and allowing us to also introduce a dark mode. All existing test driver functionality remains unchanged.

Exam Management

Exam auto-created with new blueprints
An exam is now automatically created and linked when a new blueprint is created, removing the need to set it up manually. The exam uses the same default values as a manually created exam and starts in an Inactive state. Exam forms are not created automatically.

Inactive/Active status for exam forms
Exam forms now use a simpler Inactive/Active status model, and the Draft and Approved statuses have been removed. Form validation runs when a form is set to Active, with any errors shown in one modal grouped by category, and the forms list now includes a Delivery Status column showing Delivered or Not Delivered. Existing editing restrictions on Live forms that are active or have been delivered remain unchanged.

Homepage

Dark/light mode toggle on homepage and Account Settings
A dark/light mode toggle has been added to the certiverse.com homepage and to the Account Settings page. The toggle appears in the same position and works the same way as on other pages, and the selected theme is applied across the platform and saved between sessions. No other dark/light mode behavior was changed.

Item Management

Improved Enemy Items review flow
The Enemy Items list and comparison modal have been updated for a clearer review flow. Each item now has a Compare Items or Review Enemy button that opens an Items Comparison modal showing both items side by side with their topics, and enemy relationships are now added or removed directly in the modal using the Make Enemy and Remove Enemy buttons. An optional Enemy Rationale can be added when making an enemy, and any saved rationale is shown above the items when reviewing an existing enemy.

Enemies column shown by default
The Enemies column is now shown by default in the item table on the Item Management page, across all item statuses. The column appears at the end of the default column order and can still be removed using the column picker. Enemy detection logic and column content remain unchanged.

Certiverse AI attribution for AI-identified enemies
AI-identified enemy relationships in the Item History panel are now attributed to Certiverse AI, with its avatar, instead of Certiverse System. In the expanded history entry, the Reason label has been renamed to Rationale to match the Enemy Items view. The change applies wherever the Item History panel appears, including Item Management and My Items.

Item Management button removed from Item Writing
The Item Management button has been removed from the Item Writing screen, as Item Management is now reachable through the main navigation. The AI Bulk Generation button has been updated to the primary dark green style. No other buttons on the screen were changed.

Email-based multi-factor authentication
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is now required for all users signing in with a Certiverse account. At login, a 6-digit one-time code is sent to the user’s registered email address and is valid for 10 minutes, and once verified, the browser is trusted for 14 days. Users who sign in through their organization’s single sign-on are not prompted, and users who lose access to their email can contact Certiverse support for a one-time login bypass.

Navigation & Discovery

Support menu replaces feedback button
The feedback button in the header has been replaced with a single Support button that opens a menu of support options. The menu includes Guide, Release notes, Roadmap, Give feedback, Request a feature, and Contact us, with Give feedback and Request a feature now opening the relevant Certiverse Help Center pages in a new tab. All other menu actions work as they did before.

Store

Clearer Test Center store message and logo
When a Test Center has exams assigned but none is selected, the store now displays “Please select your exam to get started.” instead of stating that no exams are listed. The exam organization’s logo is shown when the Test Center has a single organization with a logo uploaded. The message “There are no exams listed in this Test Center.” now appears only when no exams are assigned.

Store Exam

Store entry auto-created with medium security defaults
When a new blueprint is created with the Medium (AI Proctored) security level, an Exam Store entry is now automatically created and linked to the blueprint and its exam. The entry is pre-configured with medium security defaults, including AI Assisted Proctoring as the delivery type and retakes allowed after 3 days. The entry is created inactive with no price set, so it can be reviewed before activation.

Store entry auto-created with low security defaults
When a new blueprint is created with the Low (Unproctored) security level, an Exam Store entry is now automatically created and linked to the blueprint and its exam. The entry is pre-configured with low security defaults, including Unproctored delivery with AI ID Verification off and retakes allowed with no waiting period. The entry is created inactive with no price set, so it can be reviewed before activation.

Store entry auto-created with high security defaults
When a new blueprint is created with the High (Live Proctored) security level, an Exam Store entry is now automatically created and linked to the blueprint and its exam. The entry is pre-configured with high security defaults, including Live Proctored (Secure Browser) delivery with AI-Enhanced Proctoring on, the organization’s default proctoring group, and retakes allowed after 7 days. The entry is created inactive with no price set, so it can be reviewed before activation.

AI ID Verification toggle for Live Proctored exams
An AI ID Verification toggle has been added to the AI Proctoring Settings group for the Live Proctored (SEB) and Live Proctored (without SEB) delivery types. The toggle appears below the AI-Enhanced Proctoring toggle, includes an info tooltip, and is On by default for new exams and when an exam’s delivery type is changed to Live Proctored. Existing exams are not changed unless updated manually.

Warning when activating a store entry with no price
A “No price set” confirmation dialog now appears when activating an Exam Store entry with no active price, including entries whose price has a future start date. The dialog explains that the exam will be available to candidates at no charge until a price is active, with options to Cancel or Activate anyway. Exam Store entries with an active price activate as before.

Store landing page on by default for new organizations
The Store Landing Page toggle in Store Exams > Configuration is now enabled by default when a new organization is created. This means exams display on the store landing page without manual setup. Existing organizations’ toggle settings are not affected.

Test Center & Events

Test Center Managers can open Booking Details
Test Center Managers can now see the View button on the Reservations tab of the Test Center Management Portal. Selecting View opens the Booking Details page, where Test Center Managers can cancel a booking or disable Safe Exam Browser for a remote proctored session. Permissions for other roles remain unchanged.
